Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - People are cashing in on great deals all for a good cause.

The Porter family is holding this garage sale to raise funds for their upcoming adoption. The family will be adopting a special needs baby girl from China sometime next year.

The cost of the adoption is about $30,000. You can find pretty much anything at the sale including furniture, books and clothes. Everything being sold was donated by family and friends.

Missy Porter - Organizer: “My goal is $5,000 because we actually would have to pay $6,000 about to the Chinese orphanage when we get there, and so I thought I'm going to take one specific amount for a certain thing that I know we need.”

So far, more than $2,000 has been raised. The sale runs Friday from 8 until 7. It's at 1518 10th Street South in Fargo.
