Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Thousands of students are heading back to class this week and next. And along with all your school supplies, you'll want to make sure you have your smartphone. Whether you're in college or high school, you can start off more organized than ever this year, because there's an app for that.

It's back-to-school time. Do you have everything you need?

New outfit – check, backpack – check, sharpened #2 pencils – check, planner… This year you can ditch the planner thanks to one simple download.

The Studious App organizes everything you need for all of your classes and activities in one spot and puts it all at your fingertips!

It's a day planner, assignment calendar and ultimate task manager rolled into one.

You start by loading all of your classes and activities into Studious. You can even give each its own icon. Then add the times they start and end. And the best part, you set what you want your phone to do during those times: Silence, vibrate, allow it to ring or put it on airplane mode. Each class can have its own setting. Seconds before the class, your phone will automatically change to whatever you told it to do. Seconds after, it will switch back to where it was. No more embarrassing ringing incidents in class.

Once you have it all set up, you can add daily homework, class notes with pictures, when projects are due and, of course, the date of that next big test. It's all organized by subject. You can set up Studious to give you reminders about it all when you want them to make sure you're always prepared and never have to come up with lame excuses again (dog eating homework).

The app is free in the Google Play Market. There is an app called Studious in the Apple market for $1.99. But it's more like a to-do list and doesn't have nearly the features as the Android version.
