Hawley, MN (WDAY TV) - A different kind of racing has come to the area: Rally racing. The Ojibwe Forests Rally will be held Friday and Saturday.

A meet and greet was held Wednesday at the Muscatell-Burns Ford in Hawley. About 50 cars will race hundreds of miles. It's the 6th stage of the rally nationals. In the 2 races drivers will race for 138 miles.

Nick Roberts – Rally Racer, 2005 Hillcrest Graduate: “To be out here tonight is an awesome opportunity to see people from Fargo come out, get some autographs, tell us how they're going to be back here and see the event. It’s kind of rewarding, that's why we do it - for the fans.”

Racing begins Friday in Detroit Lakes and Saturday at the Buffalo River State Park.
