Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Anyone who takes part in the Fargo Marathon will see big changes next year for the 10th anniversary. Race director Mark Knutson says the route will be different.

The Saturday races will start on the Veteran's Memorial Bridge, like they did the very first year, with a finish line in front of the Fargo Theatre instead of inside the Fargodome.

Another change is that the full and half marathons will start together, and after the runners are finished Broadway will shut down for a celebration, with a street dance to wrap up the event.

Mark Knutson – Fargo Marathon Executive Director: “We want to celebrate the 10 year anniversary by celebrating what we have on Broadway. We hope to have a great finish line, and we hope to basically close off Broadway for the entire day.”

Race weekend runs May 8th through the 10th. Forum Communications sponsors the Half Marathon.
