Opening Day at Jake Christiansen Stadium

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV)-- The season is now officially underway at Concordia as the Cobbers hit the field for the first time this afternoon. Terry Horan begins his 13th year as head coach and he's hoping it's a lucky 13. The Cobbers missed out on the playoffs by a nose last year. They were left on the bubble after a couple of heart-breaking losses.

losses.

Terry Horan- Concordia Head Coach: "I just think our kids realize how close we were. We lost a lot of great people but we have some great kids in our camp, had a great recruiting year. We have 136 kids in camp."

Griffin Neal- Concordia Sr. Nose Tackle: "We have to start over, have to keep working, can't just go off last year's success. But yeah, we had a lot of success, have a lot of confidence, we know we can compete, we know we can win."
