Thanks Dom, we're here at Park Christian football practice for day two of Minnesota high school football practice. I'm joined by Dan Kowalski, head coach of the Park Christian Falcons. Dan, I know it's the third year of the program. You got two wins in the first year, five wins last year, the expectations have to just keep building for this program.

Dan Kowalski- Third Year Park Christian Head Coach: : We're moving in the right direction. We're excited about what we have coming back. We have a lot of varsity experience with our seniors,

but we're down numbers wise. We're down to 25 kids this year.

I guess the big thing for this program is replacing Simeon Reiswig. He did so many good things for you at quarterback and on defense last year.

Kowalski: Yes, that's going to be a big hole to fill. He set passing conference records for the North Tri-County last year. But, we have some good players

coming back. We have a senior quarterback in Jared Olsgaard that has really good touch, he's a good thrower, and he's athletic.

Do you get a sense that there's more confidence going into this year than there was last year coming off a 2-win season versus now coming off of a 5-win season?

Kowalski: Well, that's a bigger bar to overcome as far as getting that fifth win. We have a really tough schedule, opening up with Badger-Greenbush-Middle River. They are a 2A 11-man school based on their enrollment and you always have Ada and the Waubuns, and the rest of those tough teams that really make life miserable for you. But, we feel confident.

How important is a playoff win this season? I know you guys are still searching for one. You almost had it last year. How important would that be for this program?

Kowalski: It would be huge. We came up two points short against Norman County East last fall and the kids are hungry to come back and obviously get that first home playoff game and move into the playoffs real deep this year.
