Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Local kids battling cancer will get a chance to have some fun in the sun thanks to Sunshine Kids, a non-profit dedicated to helping children with cancer.

Today was Prudential Real Estate's sixth annual Sunshine Kids Golf Tournament. About 170 golfers took to the Oxbow Golf Course to raise money to send local kids with cancer on a trip to Orlando. Prudential CEO Daryl Braham says they are hoping to spread the word about the cause.

Daryl Braham - Prudential Premier Real Estate CEO: "What we've heard from both them and their families is that this changes their life. They get to be treated like royalty for a week. For many it's their first time on a plane. They get to go be around other kids. They tell us day one they're all shy and in the corner, but day two the wigs come off and they get to be kids again."

So far the local chapter has sent 12 children on Sunshine Kids trips.
