Barnesville, MN (WDAY TV)-- Police are crediting an alert store clerk in Barnesville for helping arrest three people suspected of using counterfeit bills.

42 year old Margret Miramon, 51 year old Ralph Taylor and 41 year old Andrew Jenson face felony counterfeiting charges.

The clerk used a pen that showed the two $20 dollar bills the men used to pay for gas were suspicious.

The men took off when the clerk questioned them. A trooper later pulled over the van.

Investigators found about $3,700 in counterfeit $20, $50 and $100 bills in the van, along with a printer. Authorities say the trio was driving across the country.
