Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's a video that's going viral in the F-M area and beyond; A plea to have Taylor Swift make a guest appearance at a Moorhead run and walk for disability awareness.
CCRI - Creative Care for Reaching Independence - put together the video and they're trying every avenue in hopes Swift sees it. It was merely a suggestion.
Shannon Bock - CCRI Executive Director: "At one of the meetings someone said, 'Taylor Swift would be in town the day after our event. Wouldn't it be great if she would maybe want to kick of out walk for us?'"
That turned into a competition.
JC Malmgren-Wolf - CCRI Employee: "I've never made a video before. It was a lot of fun."
It's fair to say the video is going viral in the FM area. Since Friday nearly 4,000 people have watched.
CCRI clients teamed up with some familiar faces to make the hit music video.
JC Malmgren-Wolf: "The Sargent in the video was super into it. He was practicing his dance moves before we came."
Sometimes you just need to loosen up, forget about choreography and go with the flow; a bold move these ladies certainly hope will pay off.
Thanks to social media, the chance my be greater than ever before.
Shannon Bock: "Everyone we know is tweeting it to her Twitter account, so we're using Facebook; absolutely anything we can."
Turns out they were lucky enough to snag Swift's managers phone number. Even if the video never makes it to Swift, you can bet she'll still have some 'Forever Fans" in the F-M area.
Pam Grugel - CCRI Client: "I want her to come because I want to meet her. So does Nicole. I think she is a lot of fun and she shines like a star."
We reached out to Swift's Management Company, sending them the viral video and contact information. They assured us it would get to her publicist.
