Trial set for SD man who attacked a female clerk with a scissors

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) -- A trial is set for a South Dakota man accused of attacking a female store clerk with a pair of scissors in Wahpeton.

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) -- A trial is set for a South Dakota man accused of attacking a female store clerk with a pair of scissors in Wahpeton.

22-year-old Christopher Yellow Earrings has plead not guilty to felonious restraint, reckless endangerment, and preventing arrest.

Authorities say the attack happened on May 29 when Yellow Earrings forced employees and customers into a back room of a Family Dollar store where he wounded female employee. The employee did need to get stitches.

Yellow Earrings could face up to 40 years if found guilty on all eight counts.
