Search begins for new president of Minot State

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Terry Hjelmstad, vice president of the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education, will head the search committee to find a new president for Minot State University.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Terry Hjelmstad, vice president of the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education, will head the search committee to find a new president for Minot State University.

David Fuller, the university's current president, has announced that he plans to retire in June 2014.

Search committee members have been recruited from Minot and the university campus. The panel plans to hold community listening meetings as part of the process of searching for a new university president.

The Board of Higher Education also has approved a list of leadership characteristics that are important for the next Minot State University president.
