Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The smell of Sloppy Joes filled the air this afternoon at the US Bank Plaza in downtown Fargo.

This is the 4th annual "Joes for G.I.s" event, sponsored by US Bank. For $5, you got a Sloppy Joe, chips, cookie and a pop, with all the proceeds benefiting local military groups.

The event included a color guard, a missing man ceremony, and the singing of the national anthem.

Ann Schulze - US Bank: "The veterans and their families all give so much. I mean, almost the ultimate sacrifice, so in order to give back whatever we can this is such an honor to do that."

In just 3 years, "Joes for G.I.s" has raised $25,000 for military groups.
