Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Four days of fall camp are in the books for NDSU and this month of practice isn't like any other in Craig Bohl's previous 10 seasons, as he tries to prep his squad for a team that's coming off a Big 12 championship and a Fiesta Bowl appearance.

As the Bison are just 24 days away from the season opener at Kansas State.

There's a noticeable difference to the start of camp for NDSU, the intensity is up and the pads were on earlier than in past seasons and the players tell me they recognize how different the start of this season

is.

Sam Ojuri- NDSU Running Back: "To have Kansas State as the opener has made

everything a lot different, team has worked so much harder this past summer we started a lot earlier than usual every year worked hard got thru it, time for fall camp, get thru this and we're all excited for the game."

Marcus Williams- NDSU Senior Cornerback: "We know what Kansas State brings

we know it's a big game take like another game, can't overlook this game, play our best regardless we know Kansas State a great team better be looking out for us as well."

Bohl tells me no injuries to report through the first four practices.

The first coaches poll is out, the preseason top 25, which NDSU gets 23 out of the 26 first place votes, Montana State and Sam Houston State got a vote and surprisingly, Eastern Kentucky? The Colonels did not make the FCS playoffs last year. UND was not in the poll, 5 Valley teams made the top 25.
