Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Griffen got better as the season went along, including five sacks and a pick 6 in the final 7 games of 2012.

Griffen's play has raised to the point where some think that the Vikes could let Brian Robison go and not miss a beat and his coach says he's really impressed.

Leslie Frazier- Vikings Head Coach: "He's kind of picked up where he left off last season he's been a bright spot attitude he's had really looking forward to how he develops over this year, but so far so good great start."

Brian Robison- Vikings Defensive End: "He's going to be a great player for years to come and so we want to help him come along, better he is better we are we've all helped him in one way or the other."

Griffen and the Vikings make their preseason debut on Friday night at home against Houston.
