Glyndon, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Glyndon man is behind bars tonight after leading police on a high speed chase down a busy highway.
29 year old Dana Thomas is facing a long list of charges. It includes DWI, fleeing, property damage, all of those felonies. Along with half a dozen more violations.
Police tried to pull Thomas over in North Moorhead for exhibition driving,
he was spinning his tires and passing vehicles in the wrong lane. Officers say Thomas took off, north on highway 75.
He reached speeds of 100 miles per hour, before turning off at 70th avenue.
From there he went through a wheat field, then a corn field. Officers eventually were able to corner him.
"He had three passengers in the vehicle who were unwilling. Passengers he put all of their lives in jeopardy. He put everyone on Highway 75 in jeopardy. He pus us in serious jeopardy, not very sound decision making."
A 14 year old passenger did jump out of the car as Thomas turned onto 70th avenue. Police say Thomas had outstanding felony warrants.
