Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Many politicians have recently taken to hosting Town Hall meetings online.

Twitter was a major force in the 2012 election, and more legislators are finding ways to make it work for them. Depending on the number of followers a person has, they can connect with a wider and more diverse audience through Twitter.

Even those without an account can follow the conversation.

Maren Hamilton, social media specialist, says, "With just an in-person town hall, you only get however many people show up. On Twitter, people are able to check it while they're at work, while they're at home, and they can follow along without being there."

At ten, find out why the 140-character limit on Twitter can be a good thing when talking about policy.
