West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- One man is dead and another injured after a two-vehicle crash just outside of West Fargo.

A 61-year-old Casselton man died when the pick-up truck he was in was rear-ended and rolled.

When the drivers reached this spot just west of West Fargo, authorities say one car driven by a 20-year-old Kindred man rear-ended the pick-up. The truck went into the median and rolled, ejecting the 61-year-old driver.

Meanwhile, the car careened the other way into the ditch.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He says the accident happened as he was trying to pass the pick-up.

Sgt. Dave Wolf with the North Dakota Highway Patrol says, "His statement was he was trying to overtake the pick-up, which was moving at a slower speed and ended up rear-ending that pickup, which sent him into the median and he went down into the ditch."

Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.
