Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The Vikings are hoping they found their new version of Harvin in this past April's draft.

Cordarrelle Patterson was one of 3 first round draft picks for the purple,

and he's already making quite an impression in training camp.

He's made a handful of highlight reel catches and been designated as the team's top option on kick returns.

Patterson played only one year of division one football at Tennessee

after two years of junior college. But, the rookie is ready to make an impact this season.

Cordarrelle Patterson- Rookie Vikings Wide Receiver: "I'm not expecting nothing of myself right now, just gotta learn the playbook, a guy like Greg is helping me with that. Jerome too. I expect to learn the playbook and once I do, I expect to be on the field, helping out my team."

Greg Jennings- Vikings Wide Receiver: "I love his work ethic, love his mindset. He has a confidence that's beyond a rookie level, which you have to have in the league. He has the speed, size, hands, all the tools to be successful in this league and one day I'm gonna be able to say I played with Cordarrelle Patterson."
