It's the case for a Fergus Falls family. The community is mourning as a 14-year-old boy died during a swimming accident.
14-year-old Briggs Anderson was in far northeastern Minnesota when this happened.
Authorities are calling it a swimming accident and not a drowning because other medical conditions may have caused his death.
The Pastor at Briggs' church says Briggs is an excellent swimmer.
He was with other members of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, on a trip to Voyageur's National Park in St. Louis County.
Authorities say the group was touring Rainy Lake by houseboat last night when the accident happened.
Pastor Jon Olson- Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church: "Briggs was very excited to go on this houseboat trip to Rainy Lake, his parents said he had been packing for a long time in anticipation, he loved the outside loved being outdoors, swimming he was an avid excellent swimmer."
Briggs was air lifted to Essential Health in Duluth where he later died.
An autopsy is being done.
