Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- What teenager doesn't go through those phases of needing and wanting to fit in. Today, a life lesson in what it means for one rural Cass County 17-year old.

For the last several months, employees at Western Products of Fargo, have been raising money for Make A Wish. Today, they watched the girl matched with her wish.

It was party fit for a queen, balloons, banners, cupcakes and a crowd.

Today, Many Murch arrived at Western Products in Fargo, the guest of honor.

For the last year, employees at Western Products have been throwing parties and events raising money for make a wish. For children like Mandy. Today, the send off, the wish?

Nothing fancy or dreamy. Just the chance to attend a conference in Florida of other children who live with the same complicated syndrome Mandy has.

Cheryl Murch- Mandy's Mom: "She can't wait she has been talking about this for months."

Only 400 children in the world have cardio facio cutaneous syndrome. A rare genetic disorder affecting the heart, face, and skin. Mandy also battles a seizure disorder. But, her family says, the Northern Cass student is an inspiration.

Megan Murch- Mandy's Sister: "I have learned a lot, patience. A lot of life lessons."

Marty Murch- Mandy's Mom: "She has made a lot of friends across the country makes her feel part of the group and not on her own."

Best of all, a great farewell and limo ride to the airport. A grateful family and a company glad to make a difference.

Since 1985 Make A Wish North Dakota has granted 650 wishes to children and their families.
