"Night to Unite" is promoting community involvement and crime prevention

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Local law enforcement will unite with the community a week from tonight.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Local law enforcement will unite with the community a week from tonight.

Celebrations are planned in Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, and Dilworth for the annual "Night to Unite."

The aim, promoting community involvement and crime prevention.

Police say it's more than just getting to know each other.

David Todd- Fargo Police Department: "They are also a chance for us to show the crime data, what's happening in your neighborhood. And also share crime prevention tips that pertain to that crime data and how you can help us stop that crime from happening."

Night to Unite is Tuesday, August sixth.

Events include block parties and emergency service demonstrations.
