Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The summer vacation is almost over for Bison players

and coaches they report to camp on Thursday, with practice opening on Saturday.

For the two-time defending national champions they enter 2013 with expectations from across the nation about a three-peat.

They certainly have the respect from the best league in FCS; the preseason Valley poll out today, NDSU an unanimous number 1, receiving all 39 votes. Playoff opponent SDSU 2nd, followed by Northern Iowa.

Illinois State, Youngstown and Indiana State the next 3 with Dale Lennon's SIU team picked 7th. I asked head coach Craig Bohl if it's a bad thing to have so many seniors back on his roster for this season.

Craig Bohl- NDSU Selected As MVFC Favorite: "The really good football teams I've been associated with here and those seniors have their best year and at times they'll do that and there's other times when guys can't compete at highest level; sometimes it's motivation on their part; we recognize big challenges ahead of us certainly experience is helpful but experience without productivity won't get you very far."

NDSU has 25 seniors listed on its roster for this season, the team reports on Thursday with practice starting on Saturday.
