Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV)-- It's back, the 26th annual Cats Incredible catfishing tournament in East Grand Forks.

There's about 120 teams of two competing this weekend.

Bonnie and Georgia are their names, but out here on the Red River they're known as...

Bonnie Kazmierczak- Tournament Participant: "Two grandmas."

Dorothy Green- Georgia's Daughter: "Well, they are both grandmas."

As the grandma's put a dent in their bait, they're also putting a dent on a certain list.

Georgia: It's on our bucket list.

Dorothy: They were going to wear buckets on their heads today.

The friends of nearly 50 years have always wanted to compete together in the annual Cats Incredible fishing tournament, but they've had other priorities.

Bonnie: We're busy with grandchildren now.

Today, they're just busy cracking jokes.

And reeling in some big catches.

Bonnie: The 15 pounder!

Dorothy: They're actually kicking a lot of the guys butts out here.

To get on the leader board, like they are here in 4th place, takes team work.

Bonnie: There it was. I handed the rod to Georgia, she reeled it in. I got the net. It was big.

Dorothy: I'm very proud of my mom and Bonnie K.

As hundreds of people enjoy the tournament festivities on land, the grandmas are hard at work on the river. But they do find some free time.

Bonnie: We are having a great time.

Dorothy: You never know as the day goes on what they'll do.

With a great day of fishing behind them, there's a chance the grandmas will win tomorrow. Just what would they do with the prize money?

Georgia: Buy some hard mike!

Dorothy: They're doing good they're representing the grandmas out there.

The grandmas wave goodbye to a day of fishing and bonding.

The East Grand Forks Fire Department is now sponsoring the event, which ends Sunday at 4.
