Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The morning after fully stocking the Matson Field concession stand for this weekend's baseball tournament, workers showed up to find all the food and candy gone.

Someone broke into the concession stand through the window early Thursday morning.

Matson Field was preparing for a crowd for the first day of the Sub-State Baseball Tournament. But when they opened up the concession stand, they discovered all the food and candy was missing.

The thief broke in through a window and made off with candy, hot dogs, buns, and ice cream.

Fortunately, there was no cash inside.

But they were down to nothing on the shelves and with hungry baseball fans lining up, they needed to get more fast.

Concessions manager Ronette Miller says they never could have done it without the help of their supporters.

Ronette Miller- Concessions Manager: "The players, the coaches, the employees of Moorhead parks, and parents, all stepped right up to the plate and took control of their own ballpark, got their home field back, and re-stocked and cleaned up the mess."

Proceeds from the concession stand benefit Moorhead's baseball program.

Moorhead police are investigating the break-in.
