WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Williston officials have unveiled plans for a new city office building.

The nearly 18,000-square-foot Williston Development Center will house officers for the three city departments, along with a large multipurpose room that could be used for public meeting space.

The project will cost about $7 million. It will be financed through a $105 million bond issue meant primarily to improve roads, streets, sewer and water.

The Williston Herald reports that city commissioners are scheduled to vote on final approval for the project at their Aug. 27 meeting. Construction would begin in September.
