Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - After a south Fargo construction accident, other area contractors are double checking their work sites for safety.
For Luxury Builders, even with the area's booming housing market, it's a daily routine. Nathan Branson says for his team, safety is always top priority.
Nathan Branson - VP Luxury Builders: "Anytime you see an accident happen, it always makes you think what you do yourself."
His routine involves a safety checklist, which can be tricky to double check during such a busy boom in the building business.
Nathan Branson: "You have to be safe at the end of the day, but at the same time, you have to get a job done too."

Luxury Builders is one of 1,100 contractors active in Cass County. All must follow OSHA regulations. That includes harnesses and ropes when you're working on the roof, and guard-rails on stairs and top levels. Experts say early prevention is the best method of all.
Jeff Aafedt: "We can educate upfront and control the hazard through training, then we should hope to keep the numbers down of injured workers on the work site."
And for Branson, if it will save a life, or an OSHA fine -
Jeff Branson: "It's definitely well worth taking the extra time to do it."
