Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Police are dismissing rumors circulating that a 15-year-old was shot in a drive-by shooting in Fargo on Monday night. The boy was shot in the arm by another minor.

Police say they have identified everyone involved, and confirmed it was an accident. However, they also say they were given false information on where it happened.

The victim said he was shot at Jefferson Park in Fargo, but police say it actually happened at a South Fargo home.

Lieutenant Joel Vettel - Fargo Police Department: "We're glad we were able to confirm what we initially thought that was, an accidental shooting. We're happy that we can put to rest any speculation that it was any more than that."

According to police, several people, all minors, were there when the gun was fired.
