Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- A change in one of this area's volunteer driven home building programs is making a huge difference in Fergus Falls.

The Fergus Falls area Habitat for Humanity is making 2013, as the year of the veteran.

In addition to this new house, the organization is also "taking on" several rehab projects.

3 alone last year.

The Fergus Falls habitat organization also spent time on several repair projects for families in the area.

Craig Molstad- Fergus Falls Habitat for Humanity: "One of the things is just a question of with a limited amount of money is how many can you serve ? For many years one of the downsides of habitat is we'd serve 3 of 4 familes, they were really served. They got a house. But there's 50-to-70 applicants that are still sitting out there having problems."

Most recently, 75 veterans signed up as candidates for habitat homes.
