Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Fargo police are trying to determine how a 15-year-old was shot in the arm.
They think he was shot somewhere near Community Homes in the 600 block of 23rd street south.
Police got a call from Essentia around 8 o'clock Monday night, after the boy showed up there for treatment.
They haven't been able to talk to the victim much, as he was being treated, but they don't think the shooting was intentional.
LT. Joel Vettel- Fargo Police: "At first blush it appears that it was an accidental event. We'll continue to kind of process not only the scene, but also interviewing different people in reference that possibly could've witnessed this event."
Police believe the incident may be the result of someone mishandling the gun.
