FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Two of the jockeys at this summer's horse racing meet in Fargo are brothers who have been competing against each other since they were teens.

Jeremy and Shaun Herman grew up racing horses in Belcourt, one of two cities in North Dakota that has a horse track. They were in Fargo over the weekend to ride at the North Dakota Horse park.

Twenty-three-year-old Shaun Herman, who is eight years younger than Jeremy, tells The Forum newspaper that the two have been racing against each other for a long time and calls his brother "just another competitor."

The three-day meet in Fargo wrapped up Sunday.
