Crews responded to 5 calls at the street fair

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The first day of the downtown street fair was hot and humid, which kept paramedics busy.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The first day of the downtown street fair was hot and humid, which kept paramedics busy.

Crews responded to 5 calls at the fair, 3 being heat related.

Those heat calls came on a day that was already a busy one for FM ambulance.

They had more than 30 calls in between 10 and 4 P-M.

With cooler temps today and tomorrow, paramedics say things should calm down.

Brendan Krupich- F-M Ambulance: "If you are not drinking a lot of fluids and staying kind of cool, definitely can increase your body temperature very fast.

An ambulance crew will be on standby for the remainder of the fair.
