Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - While it may be a bit warm for us humans, it's got to be hot for the horses that have come to the horse park in Fargo.

For the second straight year racing is back in town and is set to go tomorrow night. The park sat dormant for a couple years but re-opened last year to a big crowd and encouraged by last year's attendance the organizers decided to extend the calendar by one more day, racing on a Friday night.

Ryan Roshau, ND Horse Park Media Relations: “There is a lot of great tradition that comes with the sport. The call to the post when they come out to the track, watching the horses saddle in the paddock and some people I think really get a kick out of that. I've never had anybody come out here and say 'You know what, that was a lousy time.' everybody says 'How come you are only racing one weekend? When are you going to race again?' and 'When can I get out there?' They want to be a part of it once again.”

The track opens at 3 tomorrow with racing scheduled for 5 tomorrow night and racing on both Saturday and Sunday.
