Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's a great day to be out here at the street fair, not so great to have football pads on, but that's the case in Mayville this week as the annual North Dakota Shrine football game is this Saturday.

Practice has been going all week to prepare for this weekend's games at the Alerus Center. For some of these players this is the last time they'll put on the football pads while for others they hope this game is the springboard to the start of a great fall camp.

Zach Drevlow, North Sargent – OL/DL: “It just means a lot to me because it means you are the best of the best from North Dakota. Just like the game is going to say you play a team from the East, play a team from the West and you have the best 11 players on the field from the East and the best 11 from the West and you just go at it. So it means a lot to me. I'm very honored to be here.”

Taylor Kath, Hankinson – OL/DL: “It's a really high honor being from a small school. Being selected to come play here is a pretty big honor for me. It's really different. You are used to your old teammates and you come together with a whole bunch of new guys. Have to get over the rivalries.”
