ND Highway Patrol conducting sobriety checkpoint tomorrow

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint tomorrow. The checkpoint will take place somewhere in Traill County.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint tomorrow. The checkpoint will take place somewhere in Traill County.

Immediately following the checkpoint, troopers will be on patrol in Traill and Steele Counties to detect and apprehend impaired drivers.

Thirty-seven percent of traffic fatalities this year have been alcohol-related.

In a week long saturation focusing on the Red River Valley Fair and Stutsman County Fair, troopers wrote more than 550 citations, made 14 drunk driving arrests and 37 other criminal arrests.

The saturation patrol was from July 8th thru the 14th.
