BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Center for Technology & Business is receiving a $25,000 federal grant to provide training on modern business and technology tools in southwest North Dakota.

USDA Rural Development state director Jasper Schneider says the six-month program will focus on topics including blogging, mobile business applications, social media for business, mobile point of sales systems, understanding cloud storage and online reputation management.

Schneider says the money will be used to help provide development and leadership services that often are not readily available to businesses in rural areas. He says such services go a long way in helping small business owners succeed.
