Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The scent of kettle corn, corn dogs and funnel cakes will soon fill the air of a packed Broadway, in Downtown Fargo.

Broadway will be packed with thousands come Thursday morning at 10. People will be looking to get their hands on the latest arts and crafts being sold by hundreds of vendors.

Stephanie Holland- Street Fair Consultant: “We are sold out.”

There are 280 vendors attending the show and you can expect to see some new faces.

Holland: “We have a silk artist so she paints on silk, for women's clothing.”

And never before tasted tasty treats.

Holland: “We have a new wing and sweet potato fry.”

To make way for vendor set up, no parking will be allowed here on Broadway Starting at 4 Wednesday morning.

Broadway from Main Avenue, North of the railroad tracks to 6th avenue North will be closed.

1st avenue north and NP avenue will be open to traffic during the fair. For those of you not stopping to take a look at the fair, give yourself extra time.

Jason Baker- Traffic Engineer- City of Fargo: “Traffic on NP may be not flowing as well as years past, because one ways are very efficient for moving traffic, and having a two way traffic on that street, may make things a little slower, more congested.”

Street parking will be available in certain areas, signs will be posted in restricted areas. Parking will also be open at the Civic Center parking lot and the lot on NP.

Baker: “Drivers should just be aware because there will be increased pedestrian traffic. Slow down, make sure you're watching out.”

Broadway will re-open on Saturday night once vendors are packed up and heading to the next fair.

The Fair starts Thursday at 10am and runs through Saturday at 9pm. We will do our news live from the street fair Thursday, at 5pm and 6pm.
