Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Baseball's mid-summer classic is tonight, as the best players in the game take Citi Field in New York for the 84th All-star game.
The national league has the edge in the series, with 43 wins compared to the AL's 38.
One guy that could help the NL continue it's dominance, is Colorado Rockies outfielder Michael Cuddyer.
The one time fan favorite for the Twins took part in the home run derby
last night, falling just one shy of reaching the finals. This will be Cuddyer's 2nd all-star game, but his first as a starter.
Michael Cuddyer- 16 HR's with Rockies (Former Twin): "It's exciting! I didn't expect it by any means. To be able to go out there and be in the starting lineup with two other Rockies is very special.
Troy Tulowitzki- Cuddyer's Teammate: "Michael is just a professional. You know what you're getting every time he takes the field. Someone that's going to play the game hard and play the game the right way. I just enjoy being his teammate more than anything."
Tonight's game begins at 7 o'clock. Mets ace Matt Harvey starts for the NL,
while the American League counters with Tigers right-hander Max Scherzer.
