Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The Cass County Sheriff's Office has released new video and pictures of seized dogs from Wheatland.

And just a warning, some people may find this video disturbing.

The 170 seized dogs were kept in cages stacked high at Darcy Smith's rural Wheatland property, multiple animals in each, all barking and trying to escape.

Some of the dogs were in a pen outside. Most with severely matted hair.

Veterinarians and volunteers continued to work through the weekend in Casselton treating the animals.

Three groomers from the Mutt Hutt in Moorhead made the trip to help.

Jeni Chance- The Mutt Hutt Groomer: "We decided it was important to go because we have the ability and the knowledge to be able to do this and it was the best way to be able to help the animals that really needed it. We're the advocates for animals that can't talk."

Authorities say so far, Donations have reached about 9,000 dollars.
