Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Some NDSU supporters want drivers on I-94 to see their school pride.

The walking bridge across the interstate is getting a new coat of green paint, and some say they should paint "NDSU" on the bridge, as well.

A Facebook poll on the page "Overheard at NDSU" has hundreds saying it's a good idea.

They plan to send the poll results to city leaders to make it happen.

Randa Cody- MSUM Student: "It's a good advertisement, bringing it farther south into the community."

Brady Och- NDSU Student: "Just knowing that there's a strong university in your town is going to be good for it I would say."

DOT officials say while they wouldn't rule it out, the paint on the bridge was chosen to be easy to maintain.

And speaking of I94, lane closures from 9th St. E to the I-29/ I-94 tri-level ramp should re-open by tomorrow.
