Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The chances you bump into a NHL player this weekend in the metro is higher than normal.

Many are here for the Cully's Kids event. It kicked off tonight with the fundraiser at Ushers.

There's a golf tournament tomorrow, and the Cully's Kids picnic at Newman Outdoor Field is Saturday.

Moorhead natives Bridget and Matt Cullen created the foundation 9 years ago, and have taken it from raising a few thousand dollars to now more than 3 million.

Matt Cullen- Cully's Kids: "We all come out and we have a lot of fun and it's grown to be this big fun event because everybody gets to know each other over the years but the ultimate thing is we help a lot of kids and the money is going to the right places."

And Minnesota Wild fans, cover your eyes, that's the new Matt Cullen Nashville Predators Jersey up for auction.
