Wolverton, MN (WDAY TV) - Today marks two weeks since Wolverton woke up to a disaster.

After nine inches of rain was dumped on the town, roads were washed out and people's homes were ruined. Thankfully, after a lot of hard work, residents are piecing back together their lives including the Olthoff family, who had river water flowing through their entire basement forcing them to strip the entire floor, furnace and belongings from their home.

Steve Olthoff, Wolverton Resident: "I thought the whole basement was going to be completely full of water. But then the windows swelled up and wouldn't let the water in. So, that saved us."

Despite all the damage, the Olthoffs say financially it only took about a thousand dollars to fix their home after the flooding.
