West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It is a sure sign of summer. The Red River Valley Fair kicked off this morning in West Fargo.
You can expect all of the traditional treats, thrill rides, and games.
The crowd here just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Crews were busy setting up.
The fair runs through the 14th. Each day gates open at 11 and the midway opens at 1. Admission is $8 for people 12 years old and up, $4 for ages 6 to 11 and kids 5 and under are free.
There are plenty of shows throughout the day and activities for the kids. Admission is free weekdays from 11 to 1 so you can come on your lunch break and enjoy all of the fair treats. There are also some other deals throughout the week.
Bryan Schulz, General Manager: “People can come in and have their favorite corn dog, pork chop on a stick, cheese curds, whatever it is, and also go become a friend on our Facebook and we do have Facebook friend day where you'll get $3 admission off and then on Sunday we are working with the Great Plains food bank and if you bring three non-perishable food items you get $3 off so it's $5 gate admission.”
If you haven't made it out yet you still have plenty of time.
