FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University is moving its archives for the second time in 13 years.

The Fargo school moved its historical records off-campus in the summer of 2000, after heavy summer rains flooded the basement of the library.

The lease on its current space that is being leased from the North Dakota State College of Science is set to expire and the science school says it needs to reclaim the building to handle booming enrollment at its Fargo campus.

Not everyone is thrilled with the move for NDSU. Recently retired archives director John Bye tells the Forum newspaper (http://bit.ly/1cfTMiL ) that the new location at the NDSU storage annex doesn't have proper climate controls and says the need for a permanent home on campus has been lost in the shuffle.
