Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) – Fargo Post 2 has been close in recent years to finally getting over the hump and claim a state championship, only to be denied. Dickinson and West Fargo in recent years knocked them out.

But they believe they've got the talent to break through this season. Post 2 is coming off a championship in the F-M Invite over the weekend and then a split last night against defending state champ West Fargo. Fargo has talent all over the field, now it's about putting it all together.

Luke Rustad, Fargo Post 2 Head Coach: “I think we've been playing ok baseball. I think our best baseball is still in front of us. Our bats we've had games really good. Games just ok. Pitching we've had great pitching. We've had mediocre pitching, just enough, put some guys on with walks. We shore that up we'll be fine.”

Joe Hallock, Fargo Post 2 Catcher: “Bring an intensity into the final innings, kind of carrying it through not just getting up on teams and settling. Finishing and putting them away.”

Fargo is off for the 4th then resume the season Sunday at Mandan.
