Many crops are under water, putting farmers behind schedule

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Almost a week after rains hammered the area, some fields are still looking more like lakes, than farm fields.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Almost a week after rains hammered the area, some fields are still looking more like lakes, than farm fields.

This video is from South of Moorhead, where many crops are underwater. That's putting farmers severely behind schedule.

For the first time in the last five years - corn planting still isn't complete.

And for what corn is popping out of the ground... stalks are about 20 inches shorter this time of year, compared to last.
