There is a lot going on for National Park and Recreation Month

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- If you're looking to enjoy some green space, the F-M area has plenty to offer. In West Fargo alone there are 240 acres for recreational park use. This morning West Fargo, Fargo and Moorhead mayors gathered to make an official proclamation.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- If you're looking to enjoy some green space, the F-M area has plenty to offer.

In West Fargo alone there are 240 acres for recreational park use. This morning West Fargo, Fargo and Moorhead mayors gathered to make an official proclamation.

Kicking off National Park and Recreation Month. Park representatives from every community were on hand to share some of the events taking place this summer including River Arts and movies in the park.

LT. Joel Vettel- Fargo Police Department: "Each and every day the folks that are running these programs these facilities make great sacrifices and if you don't think they do show up at one of these programs at 8 or 9 o'clock on one evening and see who is there running them."

Another incentive to get outdoors? Moorhead is offering a free pass to all Parks and Rec programs for anyone who relocates to the city.

Moorhead also joined "Let's Move." A national movement to stop childhood obesity.
