Houston, TX (WDAY TV) - When 10-year-old Jordan Peterson walks out of Texas Children's Hospital in Texas tomorrow, a new life begins for him.

The Peterson family will be staying in Houston for a few months so Jordan can go in frequently for tests and check-ups following his life-saving lung transplant just a week ago.

And as WDAY 6 Reporter Kevin Wallevand tells us tonight from Texas, there is a lot on the agenda, at least according to his little brother.

When Jordan leaves Texas Children's Hospital, he'll head back to the family's RV here in Houston. They've lived here the last eight months waiting for the transplant after selling their home in Fargo. And they're happens to be one eight-year-old boy who can't wait to see his brother again.

Jesse Peterson, Jordan’s 8-Year-Old Brother: “I'm happy. It's like I'll have a new brother when he gets out because he'll run and I say it's worth the scar.”

Jordan's little brother Jesse knows living in the RV has been a little tight and a change from the house they used to have back in Fargo, but the precocious 8-year-old could not be happier about big brother coming home, even if it means sharing their little bedroom that Jesse's had to himself for days.

Jesse: “I actually like, like having my brother in the room too, I have something to do with him.”

The owners and other residents of the RV resort have become like family for the Petersons, checking on Jesse as he is briefly left on his own, all of them knowing brother Jordan's miraculous story. For now Jesse is already making plans for eventual contact sports for the two Peterson brothers.

Jesse: “Hockey, play football.”

And coming up at 10 tonight, we'll hear from Jordan's parents, who not only sold their home and moved to an RV park in Houston, but experienced a rollercoaster of emotions the last year.

You can read more about Jordan tomorrow in the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead.
