Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Despite a lot of extra work from city employees. The week's flooding should only tack on about 50,000 dollars for Fargo.

This week's strong storms brought in a lot of overtime hours and last minute levee construction to keep the city safe.

City officials say about 25 employees worked overnight on Tuesday.

And contractors have to spend time putting up. Taking down and monitoring the temporary clay levee on 2nd street.

Early estimates show all of that spending should come in under 50,000. Proving how far all of permanent flood protection Fargo has done, has helped.
