West Fargo sets ceremony for new convention center

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — West Fargo is getting its first convention center.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — West Fargo is getting its first convention center.

The Cambria Suites Hotel and Convention Center plans to have 15,000-square feet of meeting space and a four-story hotel with 120 rooms. The hotel will feature arts and culture from the area.

Groundbreaking for the complex, which will be located off Interstate 94, is scheduled Thursday.

West Fargo is one of North Dakota's fastest growing cities. Its population has grown from about 15,000 people in 2000 to an estimated 29,000 residents in 2012.

The Fargo and Moorhead, Minn., area has about 200,000 people.
