Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The fans that watched him play at UND knew he'd be something special, now the whole world knows.

Jonathan Toews joined elite company last night, The Blackhawks captain scored a goal and an assist, on his way to becoming just the 2nd player since 1913 to captain two teams to a Stanley Cup before the age of 25. The other is some guy named Wayne Gretzky. Afterward Toews talked about the maturity of his team.

Johnathan Toews- Blackhawks Captain NBC: "That team in 2010, we didn't really know what we were doing. We played great hockey and we were kind of oblivious to how good we were playing. This time around we know definitely how much work it takes and how much sacrifice it takes to get back here. This is an unbelievable group. We've been through a lot together this year and this is a sweet way to finish it off."

The F-M RedHawks woke up early today, to beat up on the Newark Bears.

The Hawks won 11-4, getting 3 home runs, 2 of them from hot hitting Tim Alberts. They play the same team tomorrow at 9:30 in the morning, before returning home to host Kansas City this weekend.
